What is Love?

Love can mean many different things! From using the word "love" to describe things you enjoy, to romantic love, to loving your family and friends - love can be a confusing word, with so many different meanings. But what does the Bible say about love?

Did you know the Bible says that God IS love? (1 John 4:8). And God gives us love as one of the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) are gifts from God, that he increases in our lives as we follow him.

What is the Fruit of the Spirit?

When you think of the word fruit, you probably think of something like an apple or a banana, right? Well when Paul talks about the "fruit of the Spirit" he is not referring to piece of fruit that you might eat with your lunch. What Paul has in mind here is what comes out of a person who has been filled with the Holy Spirit.
